JAMES ROBISON – FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT, LIFE OUTREACH INTERNATIONAL
There were over 300 “faith leaders” who supported Franklin Graham’s Special Day of Prayer for Pres. Trump on June 2. (https://www.facebook.com/notes/connie-schuetz-wright/special-day-of-prayer-june-2-2019/620410158462960/)
I am going to share a series of Facebook posts concerning the ecumenical outlook of some of these “faith leaders.” Many of these are part of the WOF and NAR and preach the false doctrines inherent in these systems so we already know we should not follow their ministries. The examples I will share in these posts, demonstrating their ecumenism, provide even more reasons to mark and avoid them. So many are leading their followers straight to Rome and, sadly, many of their adherents are oblivious to the dangers involved. The groundwork continues to be laid for the one world religion and the one world government, but the Lord says, “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues” (Rev. 18:4).

Now for the ecumenical examples:
In February of 2011, Glenn Beck interviewed James & Betty Robison regarding their book, “Living in Love.” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Fr9-Y8FauM)
At the 1:11 mark of the video Beck says James and Betty have become good friends. James says he and Betty believe their love for God and their commitment to Him enables them to better understand proper love. Beck shares that his wife said ‘no’ when he first asked her to marry him because they didn’t have a relationship with God they were both pursuing together.
(Note: Glenn Beck is a Mormon, a religion that does not worship the God of the Bible).

Published in February of 2012, James Robison and Jay Richards collaborated on a book entitled “Indivisible: Restoring Faith, Family, and Freedom Before It's Too Late.” Here is a description of the book: “In ‘Indivisible,’ James Robison, the founder and president of LIFE Outreach International, partners with Jay Richards, Ph.D., a writer who has appeared in both the New York Times and The Washington Post. Together, they tackle tough, controversial political issues facing conservative Christians today, including abortion, stem cell research, education, economics, health care, the environment, judicial activism, marriage, and others. Written to appeal to a broad spectrum of believers, ‘Indivisible’ not only argues political questions from a scriptural standpoint, it also provides simple arguments that Christians can use to support their beliefs in public settings.” (https://www.amazon.com/Indivisible-Restoring-…/…/B00F6I6ERO…)
However, Jay Richards is a Catholic and here are some of his statements from an interview (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1IeDdrn9a4) with Randy Robison (James Robison’s son):
2:02 “James and I are convinced that now more than ever Catholics and Protestants, especially strong-believing Catholics and believing evangelicals, need to be working together. And, it’s not just a marriage of convenience, just because we agree with each other on the question of abortion or marriage, but frankly we believe there’s a lot of stuff that we hold in common. Not just political views or world views, but there’s a lot of basic theological beliefs that we share, despite our continuing doctrinal disagreements. And, we think that it’s important especially, in this day and age, that we be building on those things that we share in common.”
3:49 “What I find is that despite some really important doctrinal disagreements between Protestants and Catholics, those things that we agree on provide more than enough stable base, I think, for building a public witness and public profile in the public square.”
5:58 “James and I think that the Holy Spirit is calling all Christians, at this time, to a higher form of unity, into a spiritual unity in spite of, recognizing that we have doctrinal, institutional divisions that aren’t going away any time soon.”
6:25 “If you read what Jesus prayed the night he was betrayed in John 17; He prayed specifically for the unity of His followers. And, He says their unity is how people are going to recognize who they are. And, so I think despite our divisions we need to be looking for ways to build on the unity that we know God actually wants.”
(Note: In John 17:11 Jesus asks God the Father to keep the brethren together as one. However, He did not say a unified movement is something believers are responsible for establishing. The prayer is addressed to God the Father; it is not a command given to men. It is not something man yet needs to do; it is something God has already done. This unity is already an established fact for believers who are united in the truth. Verse 17 of this chapter says, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” Those born-again believers who love and obey the Word of God; those who acknowledge God’s Word as the truth, can worship and fellowship together. However, this fellowship would not include Catholics because Catholics are not like-minded believers. They deny the sufficiency of Christ’s work on the cross which is evident by their practice of the mass. Also, their belief in purgatory, and the related practice of indulgences, demonstrates their lack of understanding of Christ’s atonement. They do not believe in justification by faith alone. The anathemas declared by the Council of Trent against those who do believe in justification by faith have never been rescinded. So, with these beliefs and others, they show they have another Jesus and another gospel”).

On Friday, July 27, 2012, James Robison, Dr. Ravi Zacharias, Dr. Tony Evans, and other spiritual leaders from across the country and from many denominational backgrounds joined one another at High Point Church in Arlington, Texas. The Under God: INDIVISIBLE Leadership Conference was dedicated to calling our nation back to God. (https://lifetoday.org/undergodindivisible/)
The following list of speakers shows the extremely ecumenical nature of this event: Father Jonathan Morris, Father Frank Pavone, Glenn Beck, Rabbi Aryeh Spero, Rev. (Father) Robert Sirico, Jay Richards (Catholic). (https://lifetoday.org/undergodindivisible-friday/)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
On June 30, 2014, a delegation of evangelicals, led by televangelists Kenneth Copeland and James Robison, met with Pope Francis for three hours at the Vatican. The meeting was arranged by Tony Palmer, Bishop of the Anglican Episcopal Church in the United Kingdom (since deceased). That previous January Palmer had addressed a Kenneth Copeland pastor's conference calling for unity between Catholics and Protestants.
"This meeting was a miracle," Robison told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, speaking of the meeting with the pope. "This is something God has done. God wants his arms around the world. And he wants Christians to put his arms around the world by working together." (https://www.worthynews.com/16631-pope-francis-met-televangl…)
In addition, James Robison made these statements concerning Pope Francis and their meeting: “I believe the prayers of earnest Christians helped lead to the choice of Pope Francis. Many were amazed that a humble man, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, filled with such love for the poor, downtrodden, and overlooked from a radically socialist country (Argentina) could be named Pope. From the moment it happened, I felt like it was an answer not only to the prayers of truly concerned believers, but even a step toward seeing Jesus' prayer answered. This week I was blessed to be part of perhaps an unprecedented moment between evangelicals and the Catholic Pope. On Tuesday, for nearly three hours, a few of us were blessed to meet in an intimate circle of prayerful discussion and lunch to discuss not only seeing Jesus' prayer answered, but that every believer would become bold, joy-filled witnesses for Christ.” (https://www.catholic.org/news/national/story.php?id=55979)
