Dr. Darrell Scott and President Donald Trump: Spiritual Implications and Affiliations
READING TIME: 27 MINUTES
The following are the notes to the discussion found at this link (https://www.facebook.com/tammy.cheetham.77/videos/491059274727119/) for anyone who would like to study the subject more in depth.
Yes, well, we learned last Friday that a pastor named Darrell Scott was going to appear on a program called “Frances and Friends” which is part of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. Darrell was one of a group of inner city pastors who met with Pres. Trump on August 1. I had seen a clip of this pastor saying Donald Trump was probably the most pro-black president we’ve had in our lifetime, but I really didn’t know anything about him. And, because we are aware that Jimmy Swaggart Ministries has been promoting Donald Trump quite vociferously since the election season of 2016, we thought to research and see what we could find out concerning Darrell Scott.
I want to begin by reading part of a post on Frances and Friends’ facebook page from October 5: “Is Donald Trump truly saved? What should we pray, specifically, for President Trump? Does the majority of the church stand with President Trump? These questions and many more were answered by my special guest this morning on “Frances & Friends,” Dr. Darrell Scott, senior pastor of New Spirit Revival Center in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Dr. Scott was a speaker at the 2016 Republican National Convention, he is CEO of the National Diversity Coalition for Trump, a member of President Trump’s Executive Committee, and CEO of the Urban Revitalization Coalition for Trump. Dr. Scott’s insights on the current administration were, I believe, a tremendous blessing to our listeners.”
Then, part of an earlier post reads: “Donnie (speaking of Donnie Swaggart) has been at his church and preached, and he came back so excited and said, “Mother, that man and his church is just like Family Worship Center.”
And, before we share some of the conversation on the program itself we want to address some of what I just mentioned concerning Darrell Scott himself. Let’s look at his church’s website first of all. It provides the following information. Scott was born again in 1982. He has been pastor of New Spirit Revival Center located in Cleveland, OH, since 1994. The church has grown into a multifaceted ministry reaching souls both locally and abroad. Dr. Scott went on to receive his Doctorate of Divinity in November of 2004. In 2005, the Scotts purchased WCCD Radio 1000, an AM radio station, and today they have over 2.5 million listeners per month all over the globe and it impacts lives on a daily basis with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. New Spirit Revival Center has branched out to fulfill the mandate placed upon them by God for sixteen churches. Scott is the co-author of "Don't Look Back!"; a book helping its reader to achieve victory over past hurts, defeats, failures, and disappointments, and receive the motivation necessary to reach towards the God ordained future before them. Dr. Scott is a prolific conference speaker, successful businessman, and humanitarian and has been commissioned to "turn this nation back to the Lord and lead God's people to their promised inheritance." (http://nsrcministries.org/drdarrell.html) (Now, there are several things that could be addressed in those statements, but the main thing that needs to be said is this is the only place we heard the mention of the gospel of Jesus Christ in looking at several sources concerning Dr. Scott. And, that sadly says a lot).
Now, I just want to list a few items from places such as his Facebook page. And, there is very little activity on his Facebook page, compared to the ministry pages of others, just to note:
The first post I wanted to mention says he was on the Jim Bakker show on Nov. 1 and 2 of 2016. (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1272193996184305&set=ecnf.100001811506835&type=3&theater)
And, then in a post from Sept. 28 of last year we read: Looking for a wholesome alternative to Halloween celebrations for your children ages 5-14? Join our #littleleapers children’s ministry and @freshflow_youth for Holyween 2017: The Fear Factor on October 31st! Kicking off with fun and tons of candy at the church and then moving to a fun filled field trip on Lolly The Trolly touring Cleveland! (https://www.facebook.com/newspiritrevivalcenter/photos/a.1373823722636027/1799652393386489/?type=3&theater)
Next, is a post from Sept. 13 of this year which says: “Bible Study tonight! Faith and finances! The production, purpose and multiplication of money. Life changing word. Be there.” (https://www.facebook.com/darrell.scott.399)
And, a tweet he sent out on Oct. 5: “Even though I don’t drink…I want to send this out to Judge Kavanaugh on the eve of his confirmation.” A video of a Lowenbrau beer commercial is included with the tweet. (https://twitter.com/PastorDScott)
And, then the ministry’s radio station features weekly programs by both Paula White and TD Jakes. They also have a program called the Urban Word with “dJFree.” The description reads: --dJFree spins the best in Gospel Hip Hop, Soul, Reggae and more! Special guest hosts join in the fun every week! You don’t want to miss it! (http://www.radio1000.org/programs.html)
(Well, I think we can clearly say these items are quite disturbing. We see Darrell Scott appearing with those who are making merchandise of the flock; we see seeker friendly activities; preaching of the prosperity gospel; promotion of others who are preaching the prosperity gospel and Word of Faith false teachings; support of someone’s affinity for alcohol; and promotion of hip hop, soul, and reggae music. And, whether these are presented in a gospel style or not the root is wrong and these have another spirit behind them).
Now, I want to address Darrell Scott’s promotion of Donald Trump and give three examples of such. Two are from speeches Dr. Scott has given and one features some statements made by Scott’s wife, Belinda:
First, we have part of a speech given by Darrell Scott on March 12th, 2016, at a Donald Trump Rally in Cleveland. This was before the primary election that year. “We need strong leadership for a stronger America. We need to become stronger economically, we need to become stronger socially, we need to become stronger morally, we need to become spiritually, (That statement is supposed to make it all right for Christians to get involved in politics, I suppose), and we need to become stronger militarily. And, I believe that Donald Trump is our change agent…Detractors try to say that Donald Trump is a divider. I beg to differ with them. Donald Trump is a unifier. I have with me today - they traveled from Baltimore - American Sikhs for Trump; American Muslims for Trump; (Here we go with religious pluralism), we have National Black Republicans for Trump; we have all sorts of ethnic groups for Trump…There’s a scripture in the Bible that says I sought for a man to make up the hedge and to stand in the gap for my land. Donald Trump is that man. God has raised him up for such a time as this.” (And, we should believe you, why exactly? You know, it’s interesting he would choose these verses to rip out of context. These are part of a historical narrative and you cannot just pick someone you want to fit into this description and turn the story around and make it work for today! The rest of this chapter says, “that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.” But, preachers like this don’t like to read about the warnings concerning God’s wrath).
Dr. Scott continues: “There’s a gap that exists between the people of America and Washington bureaucracy and we’re going to stand in the gap; we’re going to make up the hedge with Donald Trump and restore our nation…Donald Trump is an unparalleled leader and developer with a gift for innovation, and problem-solving. He’s a builder, a developer, a negotiator without equal, with the hand of God on his life because only God could take a black guy from the inner city streets of Cleveland and connect him with a white billionaire from upstate New York to try and do what we can do to make this country great again…” (However, since there are no directions in God’s Word concerning making any nations in the end times great, but rather warnings about perilous times and evil men and seducers waxing worse and worse, I have to truly question you saying God brought the two of you together. We have stated many times that the nations will be dealt with when Christ returns and then in the Millennium).
He continues: “When you go to the polls this Tuesday, you can make a statement, you can make a mark that can never be erased. For by voting for Donald Trump you are saying to America that I’m not satisfied with the status quo and it’s time for America to regain its strength and it’s time for America to become the greatest nation on the face of the earth again.” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WF-Smr7Hf6I) (Again, just complete unbiblical nonsense).
Then, we have part of Darrell Scott’s speech at the Republican National Convention from Wed., July 20, 2016: He first met Donald Trump several years ago. In that meeting (Other times Dr. Scott has said this was a prayer meeting, not just a meeting), he said he was very troubled about the direction our country was headed. Dr. Scott said he shared many of the same concerns. In the many times they have spoken since they have discussed the economy, race relations, immigration, jobs, urban renovation and revitalization, the military, and many other issues that are critical to our nation’s well-being…(However, these issues all concern the here and now. So, we see the foundation is wrong; why aren’t praying for souls? How many would die before any urban renewal was completed?)
“Despite his many accomplishments he still feels a void that can only be filled by service to his country and service to his fellow Americans…We need to put into practice the great ideals and principles our country was founded on and which, after God, are the source of strength that has made our nation great. This is in our best interest and it is in the best interest of the world because the greater America is the greater the entire world becomes. While some people may call Donald Trump a populist, I call him a patriot. That’s because by definition a patriot is one who loves their country; that supports its authority, and promotes its interests (This should clearly show why believers should not be patriots! We are only called to promote the interests of the Kingdom of God)…We know we are a nation not like any other. We know we are the greatest nation in history. And, as Republicans we are unreservedly proud to be Americans and we are proud of our patriots. America is a melting pot. We’re a country of diversity. We stand poised to make history by standing together as Americans, by standing together as one country. One nation under God, indivisible! (But, which god we always have to ask? We have said it many times, but we live in a religiously pluralistic society where many false gods are worshiped by the citizens of this nation). And, we are here as Americans, regardless of race, regardless of creed, and regardless of color. We are here as those who hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, and that we are endowed by our Creator, with certain inalienable rights, among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” (These statements, of course, are from the Declaration of Independence. This document and the Bill of Rights, far from being inspired by God, are both truly inspired by Satan. And, we saw a demonstration of the rights espoused in these documents this past August 16 at a First Amendment rally at the Arkansas State Capitol which featured a Baphomet statue. A group called the Satanic Temple wants to install the statue on Capitol grounds as a symbol for religious freedom after a monument of the Biblical Ten Commandments was installed in 2017). (https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/arkansas/articles/2018-08-16/satanic-temple-unveils-baphomet-statue-at-arkansas-capitol) (So, this is the result of the toleration of other religions. And, those calling themselves Christians think this is pleasing to God? Not a chance. God’s children have true life in Him, with the promise of eternal life; we have true freedom because whom the Son sets free is free, indeed; and we have joy unspeakable and full of glory. We want nothing to do with counterfeit, temporary rights from man).
“This election is one of the most crucial elections in American history…Donald Trump has played for big stakes and he’s a master negotiator and deal-maker…It means finding common ground and then moving forward. He now wants to take that experience to get the best deal for America and the best deal for all Americans…And, Donald Trump believes, as you believe and I believe, that we can become great again! But, we can only become great again if we have strong leadership. And, I can think of no stronger leader who will place their left hand on a Bible that they believe in, raise their right hand and solemnly swear (something the Bible says not to do) to faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and to the best of his ability preserve, defend, and protect the Constitution, than Donald J. Trump. God bless Donald Trump! God bless you! And, God bless America!” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U73oEjk-elY) (But, we cannot state this enough: true believers are not here to make any nation great. We are here to preach the gospel. To give the good news of Jesus Christ and what He has done for mankind on the cross).
And, then just to note the invocation that evening was given by Nathan Johnson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The benediction was given by His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. (So, these prayers made this a spiritual endeavor and the fact they were given by a Mormon and by a Greek Orthodox adherent means this was an ecumenical gathering).
And, then, for the statements made by Dr. Scott’s wife, Belinda. She was speaking for a few moments when Donald Trump, Mike Pence and his wife, Karen, and Dr. Ben Carson, visited New Spirit Revival Center on Sept. 21, 2016. Here are some of her comments about Donald Trump: “This is a person that will be good for our nation…This is a person that will be good for our military. This is a person that’s going to make our nation safe...We don’t want a nation where we walk down the street and bombings will be happening every time… We want to visit our malls, go to our synagogues, go to our churches…We are Americans. We deserve to be free. We can buy what we want to buy; do what we want to do; be great if we want to be great…We need someone that will honor our beliefs and our faith and our feelings and I really know that Mr. Donald J. Trump will do that.” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSIMHtnAJGM) (Well, of course we notice her mention of synagogues and we wonder why those considering themselves Christians, and over a large ministry, would support a religion that rejects Jesus. And, then, we are Americans and we deserve to be free? We deserve nothing but hell. I don’t have a clue what she is talking about. And, then, we can buy what we want to buy; do what we want to do; be great if we want to be great, just sounds like someone with an absolutely rebellious attitude).
Now, before we move on to the part of our discussion concerning Dr. Scott’s appearance on Frances and Friends, we want to discuss the fact that he is the CEO of the National Diversity Coalition for Trump. Sister Tammy, would you present the information you have gathered at this time, please?
I just would like to begin by explaining what The Nation Diversity Coalition is and explain that Dr. Darrell Scott is the CEO of this organization, meaning that he is the highest-ranking person in this institute and is responsible for making the decisions as a manager.
Taken from their own website’s Mission Statement - http://ndctrump.com/
National Diversity Coalition for Trump strongly supports President Donald Trump and his administration. Our group represents the voices of our communities. President Trump’s vision for the United States includes creating opportunities for men, women, and children of all racial, economic, and educational backgrounds. We support the President and his solutions that address economic disparities, foster job creation, support small businesses, preserve faith & family principles, and strengthen communities with conservative action. We will recruit, mobilize, and educate citizens to help us support President Trump and his administration throughout his presidency.
I just want to go over a few points sister Connie and I have previously addressed in our discussions concerning the government and its political and religious endeavor to bring about a one world religion.
Point one is that our freedom to practice our faith comes from the Lord alone. He does not give credence to all other religions and say it is ok to go right on ahead and confuse the world with heresies and “other gods”. – Titus 1:11 explains to us how false teachings need to have their mouths stopped, not encouraged to go on. We are to contend for the faith of Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word in Spirit and in Truth.
Point two is that we do not join with anyone who has false gods in any spiritual endeavor e.g. prayer, communion, worship, bible studies etc. This is never to mean that we do not pray for the lost and those mixed in false systems, and it does not mean that we cannot read the bible to them to reach them with the truth, yet in saying this we do never join as though we are in a relationship with God together and standing for the same faith. We are to share the Gospel with the lost and not fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. We do not defend their so-called faith so we can practice our own. How abominable! - The Word of God exhorts us time and time again to not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. The Bible teaching of separation forbids God's people from fellowshipping with error. (Romans 16:17-18; II Corinthians 6:14-18; 11:1-4; Galatians 1:8-9; Ephesians 4:14-15; 5:11; Philippians 3:1-2; Colossians 2:8; II Thessalonians 3:6; I Timothy 1:3; 6:3-5; 6:20-21; II Timothy 2:16-21; 3:5,13; Titus 1:10-14; 3:9-11; II Peter 2:1-3; 3:17; 2 John 7-11; Jude 3; Revelation 2:2,6,14-16,20-23; 18:4).
Point three is that we do not support a social justice gospel, a moral and ethical gospel that overtakes the preaching of Jesus Christ and all He has done at the cross and resurrection for guilty sinners to be forgiven and set free ought to be the pivotal point of any true preacher of the Gospel. Jesus is the Gospel, not morals and ethics. Of course, true morals and proper fruit follows as the changed murderous heart and that full of pride is redeemed and made into a new creation because of the love of God. We certainly support proper morals, but not at the expense of the true Word of Jesus going out and being diminished into just a change the world program with no outlook and serious thought as to what could take place this very hour! – John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Mark 8:36 – “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
Point four – Let’s look at the preservation of faith principle this group is working together at educating citizens to support Trump. Firstly, I would just like to address the faith of Dr. Darrell Scott and explain that he is a prosperity preacher; his preaching is focused on money and prophetic prayer that seemingly is all about here and now. Even if he was preaching correctly we can clearly see that he would have disobeyed clear commands to remain separate from other religions in any spiritual endeavor as stated in the above point. I will go on to talk about a couple more people here, one being Bruce LeVell - he is the Executive Director of NDC and he stated at the Republican National Convention in July 2016 when being interviewed - "You've got to fight 17 people on the stage—I mean, my God. He had to fight Rubio, he had to fight Cruz, he had to fight no-energy Jeb. And Jeb spent $60 million on attack ads in Iowa, and Trump only spent $45 million from last year to June."
So the tough competition and the money spent against him justify the divisiveness of his rhetoric?
"I wouldn't say so much that it's justified. I would just say one thing about Donald Trump: If you strike at him, he strikes at you back. And that's one thing I like about him, is that he's teaching America: Stand up for yourself. You don't have to lay down. And that's why he's going to be a strong, strong leader, to defend the nation—and to defend all religions. All religions. Christians, Jews, Muslims. He will defend them.”
The next person I would like to address is Sajid Tarar- Sajid is a Muslim American for Trump and part of this organization. Part of the Mission Statement of the NDC is to preserve faith, but what kind of faith would a Muslim want to preserve? His own or all so called faiths in the name of freedom of religion? We know that a true Believer will not work with a Muslim to preserve the faith of the Muslim religion and cannot possibly work with a Muslim to preserve the faith of true Christianity; it really is not possible because the Bible tells us that light and dark cannot mix – Ephesians 5:11 - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Another I would like to mention briefly is Lance Wallnau – He comes under the banner of Speaker, Leadership Coach, Business Consultant, Best Selling Author, Growth Strategist and a few other categories and he is part of the Seven Mountain Mandate which is false doctrine and seeks to place Christian men and women in places of leadership in the system of this world to change the world. It has no solid foundation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His returning to smash the world’s system to pieces at the Second Coming because they will fail and eventually bring in the Antichrist that will deceive the whole world into accepting his mark and eternally lost in the lake of fire. Lance seems to have no concept of the fact that we were never given the mandate to get involved in civilian affairs, but to preach the Gospel with no compromise or mixing it with heresy! It is all focused on the here and now, just like all what we are seeing, an attempt to change the world using man power and not looking to Jesus for the solution for individual sinners to come and be saved out of this wicked world’s system that aims to put man at the center instead of Jesus! I would like to leave you with these verses concerning this matter if you are a true believer. Romans 16:17–18: “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”
And the final person I would like to share about is Chandhok Jasdip Singh – President of Sikh Americans For Trump. Again, the beliefs of Sikhs are contrary to the Word of God, we see clearly admonitions as previously gone over about having no fellowship with these. Now you may say to me “well this is a political matter” and we are not getting our faith mixed up in these things, we are just doing a job. Well, let us see exactly the implications with that statement. You say this, but what is the Mission Statement all about? It is again, about preserving faith. The only faith a Christian should preserve is the faith of Jesus Christ and the finished work on the cross for sinners to be forgiven and that Jesus was buried and rose again after three days and was seen by many!
The Sikh means of salvation is in their worship to their god, doing good deeds in their god’s name, performing service for community, fight the five evils (five sins) Greed, Ego, Attachment, Anger and Lust. Meditation and prayer and improving your relationship with their god and then god will forgive, cleanse and save you!
Far from the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Goal of the Sikh religion is to merge with god.
Thank you very much for all that important information, sister Tammy.
Now, we want to move on to some of the conversation on the Frances and Friends program (http://www.sonlifetv.com/archives.html) for Oct. 5:
Dr. Scott stated that Pres. Trump considers himself a Christian. He then listed all the Christian doctrines Donald Trump believes. And, then said, but his sanctification is still a process. He also stated that Donald Trump has respect and reverence for God and Christianity. He tells pastors I’m not where you guys are.
(Well, and this is not to be unkind, and neither are we stating Donald Trump’s final destination because that will be determined by God alone, but these statements should be questioned because the Bible says to judge righteous judgment in John 7:24).
I think most of the listeners will remember when moderator Frank Luntz asked Donald Trump whether he has ever asked God for forgiveness for his actions. His response was, "I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don't think so," he said. "I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don't bring God into that picture. I don't". (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKLVIm7Q0IQ) (Now, some people might have heard this and thought isn’t that nice he wants to make things right if he does something wrong? True believers know when we do something wrong, when we sin, first and foremost we need to repent and ask forgiveness from God. There is no way we can leave God out of the picture).
Trump went on to say that while he hasn't asked God for forgiveness, he does participate in Holy Communion. “When I drink my little wine -- which is about the only wine I drink -- and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness, and I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed," he said. "I think in terms of 'let's go on and let's make it right.'"
Sister Tammy, I am going to quote something you said in our discussion entitled “Donald Trump: Deceitful Worker” where we previously shared this information. “WHERE IS JESUS IN THIS? We cannot make the wrongs right by our own self, we look to what Jesus did on the cross He then forgives and gives the power to live right, even repent and ask for forgiveness through His Son. So we MUST bring God into the picture, you see how this is another gospel! We cannot save ourselves!
The communion does not cleanse anyone from their sins. This is a works-based salvation and the only way we can be cleansed is by being washed in the blood of Jesus. We take communion to REMEMBER the sacrifice Jesus did; this act of taking communion cannot make anyone cleansed. Taking your little cracker is not a form of asking for forgiveness. Only Jesus can forgive sinners, not us doing anything, even anything religious.
In addition, in Matt. 7:15 Jesus is warning about false prophets. In the following verses He tells us how we can recognize them. I want to read Matt. 7:16, 17 and 20: “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
So, let’s examine some of Donald Trump’s fruit (And, I am not referencing any personal sins here): The president hosted his first White House dinner for Islam's holy month of Ramadan on June 6 of this year. At the dinner he recognized “Islam as one of the world’s great religions.” (https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/trump-hosts-first-iftar-dinner-recognizes-islam-one-world-s-n880841)
On May 3rd of this year, for the National Day of Prayer, Pres. Trump hosted an ecumenical service as evidenced by the following: Hindu priest Narayanachar Digalakote said this, “Namaste. All of us are divine. I bow to the divinity in all of you.” Mormon Jean B. Bingham, Rabbi Levi Shemtov of the Rabbinical Council of Greater Washington, and Archbishop of Washington Cardinal Donald Wuerl, also “prayed” at this occasion. Here is a statement by Pres. Trump for the occasion: "Faith is more powerful than government, and nothing is more powerful than God." (https://www.facebook.com/100007541057587/videos/2015898148671534) (But, we have to stop here and ask again, exactly what god are you talking about, Pres. Trump? Because the one true God of the Bible would not sanction such a “prayer” service that includes prayer to false gods! And, the same is true for these other examples).
Sajid Tarar, the founder of American Muslims for Trump, delivered a prayer at the Republican National Convention on July 19, 2016. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5DCuEFNgMQ) .
At the President’s inauguration ceremony the following false teachers prayed: Paula White - Word of Faith; Samuel Rodriguez - New Apostolic Reformation; Bishop Wayne T. Jackson - prosperity gospel; Cardinal Timothy Dolan – Catholic; Rabbi Marvin Hier – Jewish; and Franklin Graham – purveyor of ecumenical and dominionist false teachings. (https://religionnews.com/2017/01/19/whos-praying-at-trumps-inauguration-a-diverse-mix-of-supporters-critics-and-firsts/)
(And, someone might say, well, he’s the president and he has to recognize other religions and so forth due to the Bill of Rights. But, again, the Bill of Rights means all people have religious liberty in this nation, but this idea is not from God. Did God give the Israelites freedom to worship other gods? Or, did He finally send them into captivity for doing so? And, as we continue to say, no true believer would ever run for any political office due to the compromises he or she would have to make.
And, having all the false teachers mentioned above praying in various settings provides examples of the president fulfilling Isa. 5:20 and 2 Cor. 11:14. One cannot be a Christian and promote, support, or join in with the worship of idols.
We have to ask why Darrell Scott is covering for the President and trying to convince people he is a Christian? This is actually such a horrible testimony for unbelievers because he is given them the idea that people can be Christian, commit every type of sin, and not repent).
And, then, we hear from Frances that all of these programs, Urban Renewal business, are really good for America. (But, are true preachers of the gospel supposed to be swallowed up in improving the here and now?)
Also, that Donnie has preached for Dr. Scott several times. (It is the responsibility for any preacher to investigate the beliefs and activities of another ministry before they preach there. If Donnie doesn’t know all the things we have brought out, he should. If he does know, he is without excuse completely).
And, then we have this very disturbing statement by Darrell Scott with Frances and Gabriel making statements right in tune: “I see the apostate church standing against Trump. The apostate church is left leaning and accepts LGBTQ, etc. The true church embraces him.” (So, they are basically saying those who are saved will support Trump. Never mind all the scriptures about remaining separate from the world and no directions in God’s Word to engage in politics).
And, then Gabe said, “I’ve never seen a president allow ministers of the gospel to lay hands on him and to pray for him.” (Wow, just wow. Minsters of the gospel? Paula White, who we have already said is a Word of faith false preacher, just for one example. This shows a complete lack of discernment).
And, then the program takes some calls: Someone asks has Trump received Jesus as personal Saviour. Dr. Scott again reads off a list of Christian doctrines. And, says sanctification is work in progress. He is growing in grace. Frances says he is very sincere and he acknowledges there is a God. (But, this doesn’t make one saved! And, no one can be sanctified unless he or she is born again).
Now, I just want to read off a few comments on Frances’ post that I read at the beginning:
Why the "is Donald Trump really saved?" question. I hope he is but even if he isn't he is being used by God to save our country and that is what people who ask this need to focus on. Without Donald Trump we would be sliding into a horror such as they cannot imagine. Personally I believe President Trump has had a conversion experience but even if not I would continue to pray for, support and vote for him.
He wouldn't call for pastors to open meeting at the White House with prayer if the Holy Spirit wouldn't be leading him as his servant.
Sister Frances the show this AM was Exceptional we Truly enjoyed and it was very informative about The Most Awesome President in American History Donald J. Trump!!!
So many can be helped by him and the current administration. Dr. Scott and Dr. Ben Carson are spiritually and intellectually qualified to advise President Trump on cities in poverty, minority issues, housing, and prison reform. Plus, they pray together!
(Well, sad to say, there were many other comments along these lines. Such comments show that many have bought into the lie that believers should work to save this nation. They believe some aspects of ecumenism and dominionism and we pray their eyes will be opened).
And, just one more comment where the person is actually thinking for himself and not just following ministries who are exalting man, rather than Jesus alone:
What about praying he humbles himself since God opposes the proud? And how about he cleans up his language and stop his constant lying? I see no evidence whatsoever that he has changed his ways.
(Well, sister Tammy, that is all I have to say except I pray for people to wake up to the fact the groundwork for the one world religion is being laid before our very eyes and this is the deception the president brings as a tool of the devil. And, those who promote him are just as guilty!)
